Helps to loosen mucus in the lungs and clear the airways. The PARI O-PEP is the respiratory therapy device for effective mucus removal that can be used comfortably several times a day.
The O-PEP uses vibrations and air resistance to help release the mucus from the lung walls. When you breathe out through the device, the air and airways start to vibrate gently. In the same way that shaking a bottle of ketchup helps the ketchup move, the vibrations make the secretions in your lungs move. The increased resistance as you breathe out also expands the bronchial tubes, allowing more air to reach the lungs.
